Giavanna Grace Ferrucci

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Giavanna Grace Ferrucci who was born in Syracuse, New York on April 14, 2006 and was born still. You will live forever in our hearts.  You never had a chance to see us, but we saw you before you were born.  We can only hope that you felt the love that we truly feel for you.  We miss and love you so much.  Gianna will always have her special Guardian Angel.  You will always be seen in Gianna.  You may be gone but you are NEVER forgotten!

I guess we have no choice but to wait to see you again.  It will take FOREVER!  So we sit and wait, until then......Remember.....I love you today more then yesturday, but not as much as tomorrow.......

As many of you may or maynot know until visiting this site, that I gave birth to identical twin girls back on 4-14-2006.  Our daughter Giavanna Grace Ferrucci

was born still.  As hard as my loss was to handle, it was even harder seeing a death certificate instead of a birth certificate.  See the state of NY will not issue a birth certificate to a child born still.  It is "called" a certificate of LIVE birth.  Am I not her mother?  Did I not carry my girls?  Do I not love my babies?  SEE, by LAW I had to NAME my daughter and BURY my daughter.  How come I cannot have a paper that shows the state of NEW YORK that my daughter is just as important as my other girls?  Or as your own children? 

I have been fighting to get this bill passed since the loss of our daughter.  The last 4 years have been a let down and full of hurt and pain thanks to the STATE OF NEW YORK!  Here is how you can help me and SO MANY other parents in the state of NY that have sadly experienced what I have.  I just want to be able to say that I legally her mother.

-Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) is a disease of the placenta (or afterbirth) that affects identical twin pregnancies.

-TTTS affects identical twins (or higher multiple gestations) who share a common monochorionic placenta.

-The shared placenta contains abnormal blood vessels which connect the umbilical cord and circulations of the twins.

-The common placenta may also be shared unequally by the twins

-The events in pregnancy that lead to TTTS are all random.

-TTTS is not hereditary or genetic, nor caused by anything the parents did or did not do.

-TTTS can happen to anyone.
